Our tours
All our tours are private, so your guide and transport are there just for you and your group.
Your tour will normally include:
- A private, qualified tour guide for your group.
- A private air-conditioned car, bus or coach.
- Hotel pick-up and return, unless you arrange something different with us.
We can arrange as much or as little of your trip in Egypt as you would like, from individual day tours to complete bespoke packages.
Our pricing
Prices shown on our website are generally per person, based on a group of two or more, unless otherwise stated. They are indicative prices, as the final cost will depend on your exact itinerary and the number of guests.

Our approach to pricing and quality
We don't aim to be the cheapest tour operator, and we won't pretend otherwise. Our itineraries are built around quality: experienced guides, well-vetted local partners, and restaurants and experiences we'd genuinely recommend, not the lowest price we could find.
We also don't upsell during your trip. We won't pad your itinerary with unnecessary shopping stops, commission-based detours, or pressure to buy add-ons once you're on the ground. If something is included in your itinerary, it's there because it adds value to your trip, not because someone earns a cut from it.
This approach means our tours won't always be the cheapest option available. We think that's a fair trade-off for a trip that's been planned properly, run by people we trust, and free from the sales pressure that can come with budget tours in Egypt.
Attraction tickets
Entrance tickets to attractions are generally not included in our tour prices unless specifically stated.
This gives you more flexibility when you are in Egypt. Ticket prices can vary depending on what you choose to visit or enter. For example, entering the interior of a pyramid or visiting a museum's mummy room may carry an additional charge.

We normally recommend discussing tickets with your guide on the day of your tour. This allows you to make any last-minute changes and means you only pay for the tickets you actually choose. We do not add a markup to attraction ticket prices.
Everyone in your group can choose their own tickets if they wish. If you would prefer us to include all ticket costs in your quotation, we can arrange this, although doing so gives you less flexibility on the day.
If you have a valid student card, bring it with you as discounted admission may be available.
Your tour guide
In most cases, you will have the same tour guide throughout your trip. For multi-centre tours, you will normally have a different guide for each destination, allowing you to have a local guide with specialist knowledge of each area.
Hotels
You are free to choose your own accommodation in Egypt. For comfort, we generally recommend choosing a four- or five-star hotel.
If you would like us to arrange your accommodation, we can do this as part of your package. Many travellers, however, prefer to organise their own hotels.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have a food allergy or dietary requirement, please let us know when you contact us so that we can discuss your needs with you and pass them on to our local partners.
We will always raise your requirements with restaurants, guides and local partners on your behalf, and can help identify suitable options as part of your itinerary. In our experience, most are happy to help and will do their best to accommodate you.
However, we want to be honest with you: once a request has been passed on, it is largely out of our hands. Standards of awareness, facilities and food safety practices around allergies vary considerably between restaurants and food providers in Egypt, and cross-contamination can be difficult to prevent even where staff are willing and trying to help. We cannot guarantee that any meal will be completely allergen-free, and we have seen first-hand that good intentions do not always translate into safe practice in the kitchen.
For serious or potentially life-threatening allergies, please talk to us before booking. We will be upfront with you about what we can and cannot realistically arrange, so that you can make a fully informed decision about your trip. We would also strongly recommend that anyone with a severe allergy travels with their own medication, carries an allergy translation card in Arabic, and is prepared to take extra precautions, such as inspecting food closely and asking direct questions of restaurant staff throughout the trip.
Transfers and internal travel
We can arrange airport transfers and pick-up and drop-off for your flights. Prices vary depending on the destination and time of travel.
We can also organise internal travel within Egypt, including domestic flights and rail journeys, as part of your itinerary.
Payment
For most tours, payment is made in cash directly to your tour guide.
Packages that require advance bookings, such as accommodation, domestic travel or other arrangements, may require a deposit in advance. These payments will be handled directly with one of our partner travel agencies in Egypt.
Visa information
You should check the visa requirements for your nationality before travelling to Egypt.
Some nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival. Where available, this can be purchased from the bank kiosk in the arrivals area of the airport, before the immigration desks.
You may also be able to apply for an Egyptian visa online before travelling. If you choose this option, make sure you use the official Egyptian government website, as there are many third-party websites offering visa services.
Visa requirements can change, so always check the current requirements that apply to your nationality before you travel.
Tipping
Tipping is common in Egypt, but it is not mandatory. If someone provides you with particularly good service, you may wish to offer them a tip as a thank you.
